Ardkeen Quality Food Store
A delicious rebrand
Threesixty’s strategy for Ardkeen Quality Food Store was to migrate the existing logo towards the new brand position rather than introducing a whole new logo which may have alienated some existing customers. However, this evolved logo formed the basis of a dramatically new visual style for Ardkeen’s communications that reflected the authenticity, honesty and provenance of the food that they were offering to their customers.
We designed a visual communications system that had a distinctive crafted style, yet was flexible enough to allow lots of creativity and personality. Messaging is critical for a brand such as this with a strong ethos.
We created a tagline – Good Food in Good Spirit – along with an engaging story and clear brand values to be communicated consistently to both staff and customers. From quirky pieces (“Love Me Tender” posters at the craft butcher counter featuring a Hereford cow with an Elvis quiff) to product information (branded shelftalkers on recycled card telling the personal stories behind the products), the Ardkeen story came to life throughout the store.
